Multi-Issue Negotiation Protocol with Pre-Domain Narrowing

چکیده
Consensus building among agents is crucial in multi-agent systems because each agent acts independently according to its utility function, and conflict can occur. Therefore, automated negotiation an essential technology for efficiently resolving conflicts forming consensuses while also maintaining agents’ privacy. As the domain be negotiated large, computational cost of reaching a consensus increases agreement rate decreases. Some protocols have been proposed wherein mediator collects information creates multiple alternatives agreements handle large-scale multi-issue negotiations. However, such protocols, limitation placed on privacy all disclose their private by following pre-decided rules. In this study, we propose protocol with predomain-narrowing phase enable efficient negotiations domains which maintain that should not opponents or mediator. The divides process into main phase. protocol, parts subject are first narrowed upon, then performed. We two narrowing methods: issue- option-narrowing. Further, naive strategies considering perform comparative simulation experiments between baseline without domain-narrowing experimental results show achieves higher rates less time than baseline.

Multi-Issue Negotiation with Deadlines
This paper studies bilateral multi-issue negotiation between self-interested autonomous agents. Now, there are a number of different procedures that can be used for this process; the three main ones being the package deal procedure in which all the issues are bundled and discussed together, the simultaneous procedure in which the issues are discussed simultaneously but independently of each oth...
متن کاملA Scalable Interdependent Multi-Issue Negotiation Protocol for Energy Exchange
We present a novel negotiation protocol to facilitate energy exchange between off-grid homes that are equipped with renewable energy generation and electricity storage. Our protocol imposes restrictions over negotiation such that it reduces the complex interdependent multi-issue negotiation to one where agents have a strategy profile in subgame perfect Nash equilibrium. We show that our protoco...
متن کاملMulti-issue Negotiation Protocol for Agents: Exploring Nonlinear Utility Spaces
Multi-issue negotiation protocols have been studied widely and represent a promising field since most negotiation problems in the real world involve interdependent multiple issues. The vast majority of this work has assumed that negotiation issues are independent, so agents can aggregate the utilities of the issue values by simple summation, producing linear utility functions. In the real world...
متن کاملAvoiding Approximation Errors in Multi-Issue Negotiation with Issue Dependencies
Searching for good bids in a utility space based on multiple, dependent issues in general is intractable. Tractable algorithms do exist for independent issue sets, so one idea is to eliminate the dependencies by approximating the more complex utility space with issue dependencies. It has been shown that an approximation may give reasonable results when some structural features of the negotiatio...
متن کاملAgents for Multi-Issue Negotiation
This chapter describes a generic multi-issue negotiating agent that is designed for a dynamic information-rich environment. The agent strives to make informed decisions by observing signals in the marketplace and by observing general information sources including news feeds. The agent assumes that the integrity of some of its information decays with time, and that a negotiation may break down u...
